Your Vision. Your Choice.

There are many varieties of replacement lenses, often called “intraocular lenses” or “IOLs.” Each IOL is strategically designed to meet unique vision needs.

Based on your lifestyle, eye health, and long-term vision needs, your surgeon may recommend a PanOptix, light adjustable, Vivity, or astigmatism-correcting lens.

PanOptix / Trifocal Lens

This multifocal intraocular lens option enhances nearby, arm’s length, and far away vision. As such, a PanOptix IOL will give you a full range of clear vision, so you can immerse yourself in a range of your favorite activities—all while relying less on glasses or contact lenses.

Light Adjustable Lens

This cataract replacement lens can be adjusted after your initial cataract surgery through specialized UV light treatments. As a result, your light adjustable lens can be strategically customized until it meets your unique prescription needs at various distances.

Vivity / Extended Vision Lens

This intraocular lens option will strengthen your intermediate and distance vision, providing much-needed clarity for various activities. A Vivity IOL will also provide functional-quality sight at nearby distances, reducing your need for and reliance on glasses.

Astigmatism-Correcting / Toric Lens

This IOL is designed to correct astigmatism by addressing any irregularities in the curvature of your cornea or lens. Toric intraocular lenses provide clearer, more consistent vision at a chosen distance, reducing the need for glasses or contacts after the procedure.

What to Know About Your Lens Options

How do I choose the right IOL?

Whether we are reading, gardening, or driving, we rely on the quality and range of our vision every day. When you meet with Dr. Sarkisian to plan your treatment, you will discuss everything you see and do at certain distances. This will help you both gain a better understanding of what you need out of your lens replacement surgery, allowing your surgeon to recommend your best lens options.

What if I have presbyopia or astigmatism?

During your premium lens replacement surgery at Oklahoma Eye Surgeons, Dr. Sarkisian can utilize specialized lenses designed to correct your presbyopia or astigmatism. These vision-correcting lenses can be implanted during cataract surgery, but you do not have to have cataracts to benefit from the procedure—it can be for anyone who wants to reduce their dependence on glasses or contacts.

What lenses can help with presbyopia?

Extended vision lenses and trifocal lenses (such as PanOptix) are presbyopia-correcting IOLs, designed to improve eyesight quality at multiple distances. As a result, they can improve your experience with daily activities, like reading and driving, while reducing dependence on glasses.

Presbyopia-correcting IOLs can be implanted during cataract surgery or a refractive lens replacement procedure for those without cataracts who want to enhance their vision.

What lenses can help with astigmatism?

While standard lenses will not always fully correct astigmatism, toric versions of monofocal, trifocal (such as PanOptix), and extended vision lenses can resolve astigmatism-related issues while maintaining their other benefits. This can reduce your reliance on glasses while enhancing your experience with daily activities, such as driving and using digital screens.

Astigmatism-correcting lenses can be implanted during cataract surgery or a refractive lens replacement procedure.
